Welcome to Alaçatı.

Maybe you’ve been here countless times, or maybe it’s your first visit. Whether we’re welcoming you for a weekend getaway or a weeks-long Aegean adventure, one thing remains the same: as soon as you see the words ‘Alaçatı’ on the tollbooths, greet the windmills with excitement, pass through the artichoke fields into the realm of palm trees, and finally arrive at the pristine Liman Mevkii, our feelings are common.

In this article, we want to share some of the local flavors of Alaçatı that never fail to delight us. If you’re ready, let’s dive in!

First in line is the soil. We aim to dive deeper than the popular answers that come up when you search “What is Alaçatı famous for?” on search engines. While we love our famous “Kumru” as much as Google does, the true essence of Alaçatı lies in its soil.

Here, olives, anise, artichokes, melons, lavender, mastic, squash blossoms, cibes plant, blessed thistle, leaf mustard, thyme, çeşme grass, stifno, the echinops known for its purple color, borrage, purslane, rock samphire and much more derived from thousands of years of traditional knowledge await to leave a lasting impression on your taste buds.

Moving from the soil to the sea. Depending on the season, you can taste the freshest sea bream, red mullet, grouper, sole, hake fish, anglerfish, mullet, sea bass, bluefish, dusky grouper, chub mackarel, sardines, and horse mackerel here. Meanwhile, seafood presents a world of its own. We owe a debt of gratitude to the Aegean Sea for shrimp, Uzbek squid, octopus, lobster, mussels, crawfish, and various shellfish species.

Each of our gastronomic stops within the hotel is inspired by the flavors listed above. We always prioritize local producers in the procurement stage and create our recipes with a philosophy that blends tradition with innovation.

We strive to emphasize the Aegean in every aspect of your experience, whether it’s the jam you taste during breakfast at Sheba, the olive oil you drizzle, the glasses raised to the sunset at Alaçatı 11 Beach, a seafood dish you try at Ahali Alaçatı pier, a mezze you taste at Veranda Alaçatı, or the cocktails at Cherry on Top.

Love,

Alaçatı Beach Resort & 86Ent.
